BRIAN WEBSTER
Who am I?
I am a registered nurse working in Scotland, having graduated from the University of Dundee with an Honours degree in Adult Nursing. In my time at university, I held several leadership roles, as well as being exposed to and experiencing several leadership opportunities, both informal and formal. Through these, I gained the appreciation of reflection and blogging, and now podcasting.

ARTICLE IN NURSING STANDARD: NURSE MANAGERS AND LEADERS – SHOULD THERE BE A DIFFERENCE?
This was an article written on the basis that many "leaders" in nursing and "managers" in nursing don't actually have any formal education or exposure to these roles or topics before they are in role.

As part of my honours year, we had a dissertation to do. Mine was based on self-rostering which I then decided I would publish in a journal as it was such an important topic.
ARTICLE IN NURSING STANDARD: FIRST TIME IN CHARGE OF A WARD: USING DELEGATION AND LEADERSHIP
This was a really important article at the time when I was first in charge of a ward as a newly qualified nurse.

I wrote this article based on a master's module essay I had completed after I found I had a strong passion for reversing long-term conditions via lifestyle behaviors.

An article I wrote on the fundamentals of nursing care and why they are so important.
LEADERSHIP VIDEO FOR THE PUBLISHER ELSEVIER
This was a video I did for a friend from another Scottish university who was collating and creating a leadership series of videos for the publisher, Elsevier.
